A high-level Indonesian delegation led by the presidential adviser for Middle East Affairs Alawi Shehab will take part in the inauguration of the New Suez Canal project on Thursday.

The media counselor of the Indonesian embassy in Cairo told MENA that the Indonesian participation reflects the importance of relations between the two countries in various domains .

She added that her country considers the new project as a gift to the world, pointing out that it will facilitate the navigational traffic movement and will also contribute to economic conditions in the region.
