An Iranian initiative for countering terrorism in the region was praised by Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri on Sunday. Berri, who was addressing a meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), said that the Iranian step will help in resolving regional issues including the Syria crisis. He called on the OIC member states to coordinate efforts in encountering fast-spreading terrorism in the region.
