Iranian and Russian officials in a meeting explored avenues for the further expansion of mutual cooperation between the two countries in different fields.The remarks were made by the Foreign Ministry\'s Director-General for Commonwealth States and Caucuses Affairs Mohammad Reza Morshedzadeh and the Russian Foreign Ministry Director-General for Regional Affairs Zamir Kabolov in Moscow on Tuesday.The Iranian diplomat pointed to the good and friendly relations between Iran and Russia, and reviewed the latest measures taken by the two sides for the implementation of cooperation in energy and transportation fields.The Russian official, for his part, voiced his satisfaction with the trend of mutual cooperation between Iran and Russia, but meantime underlined the need for the implementation of the agreements between Tehran and Moscow.Morshedzadeh is currently on a two-day visit to Moscow upon an invitation by his Russian counterpart.Iran and Russia have vast cooperation in different fields, especially in political and economic spheres.The two states also enjoy special positions on the international scene and have long had constant and regular consultations on key regional and global issues.
