Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Thursday met in Jakarta to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the second day of a Summit meeting of Asian-African heads of state in the Indonesian capital, IRNA reported.

During the meeting, the two presidents exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.

Rouhani and Xi underlined the need for further expansion of bilateral relations between Tehran and Beijing.
