An Iranian diplomat was seriously injured in an attack by unknown gunmen in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa on Saturday. The gunmen opened fire at the embassy car, the diplomat was riding, opposite a shopping centre injuring the diplomat and his driver. There have been no official statements from the Iranian Embassy on the incident thus far. Around five months, an Iranian diplomat was kidnapped by a group demanding a ransom- a demand which has yet to be met.
