Iran\'s police forces seized 7.5 tons of narcotics in the city of Saravan in southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan in the past two months, Fars news agency reported Wednesday. Addressing an anti-drug meeting, Governor of Saravan, Mohammad Sharif Khaleqi said that the Iranian forces have seized 7.5 tons of different types of narcotics since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started on March 21). Saravan is on a crossroad of international drug transit route linking the drug hub Afghanistan to other countries, he was quoted as saying.
