Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al Obeidi met on Sunday with Commander of the US Central Forces Lloyd Austin.
The two sides discussed the outcome of the anti-Daesh war, according to a statement by the Iraqi Defense Ministry.
Austin said that 8,500 Daesh militants were killed since the start of the US-led military operations against the terrorist group.
