Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al Jabouri headed on Sunday for the US after his visit to Rome, Vatican and Belgium, Media office of the Iraqi Parliament Speaker said in a statement.

During his stay in the US, Al Jabouri is expected to discuss with a number of US senior officials several issues, notably the security situation in Iraq and the possibility of providing more support by the international coalition to the Iraq army to fight the Daesh terrorist group, the statement added.
