Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi underlined the importance of the efforts of the UN mission in Iraq in the political and humanitarian domains as well as in backing war against Daesh militant group.

Abadi remarks came during a meeting with representative of the UN mission in Iraq ‬‬Jan Kubis, according to a statement by the Iraqi premier's media office.

Talks tackled the political and security developments in Iraq, the UN assistance program and the conditions of displaced persons as a result of Daesh terrorism, the statement said.

The UN official expressed readiness to help Iraqi government taking care of displaced people.
