Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs Saleh al-Mutlaq discussed with the representative of the Secretary General of the Arab League Naji Shalgham internal situation in Iraq and the crisis facing the political process as well as ways to overcome the obstacles that hinder the progress of democratization and freedom and the foundations of justice. Iraqi media reported that the two sides discussed, during the meeting today, the relations with the Arab League and ways to deepen them. They also discussed the current events in Syria and the importance of concerted Arab efforts to end the suffering of the Syrian people and stop the bloodshed there.
