Israel approves the building

The Israeli Planning and Building Committee in the occupied East Jerusalem approved on Tuesday the building of 2,200 new housing units in East Jerusalem, Alray Palestinian media agency said.
According to Israeli radio, as part of the plan, several hundreds of housing units built illegally will also be retroactively approved.
The plan allocates an area of some 1,500 dunman between Jabel Mukaber and Abu Dis for the construction of housing units.
Israeli settlement expansion continues unabated, despite being condemned by almost all nations and the UN.
