Israeli Army Chief of Staff Benny Gantz decided Thursday to close the area of Road 10, which travels parallel to the border fence with Egypt, and 300 meters west of the road, to all civilian vehicles who have not coordinated their plans with the army in advance, Ynetnews reported. In August 2011, the road was closed by order of GOC Southern Command Major-General Tal Russo. Thursday's decision extends the prohibition to an additional year.
