A squad of the Israeli Army was fired upon with artillery and light arms in the Golan Heights, the military affirmed on Saturday. The Israeli troops retaliated for the attack, that occurred late during the night, firing rockets and tank fire at the source of the shooting, a spokesman of the Israeli Army told Israel Radio. He indicated that there were no injuries as a result of the attack. Israel will lodge a complaint with the United Nations protesting the attack, he said. Israeli officials have expressed alarm at growing presence of Al-Qaeda militants in the region. Israeli forces have recently responded to several similar attacks.
