The Israeli authorities have imposed tight security measures on Jerusalem and the Old City, preventing men under the age of 45 from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the Friday prayer. The Israeli police special units stationed in the vicinity of the Old City and setup barricades in the streets leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque. Last Friday, the Israeli forces imposed similar measures. In the past few days, the city has witnessed tension when Jewish settlers recurrently stormed into Al-Aqsa courtyards during the Passover holiday.
