Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing under claims of a deteriorating security situation. The Israeli side told them to close the crossing because of the deteriorating security situation in the sector, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Gaza’s Supplies Raed Fattouh said, adding that this was why it had been closed Sunday. The crossing is the only one remaining after Israel closed two others. Occupation authorities close it on Friday and Saturday of each week. The security situation in the Gaza Strip has deteriorated over the past few days, where six Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in a series of air strikes and Israeli artillery. Resistance factions pounded Israeli targets adjacent to the Strip with tens of rockets and missiles.
