A number of mortar shells were fired on the northern part of the occupied Goulan Heights region Tuesday morning, an Israeli spokesman reported. The spokesman told a local Israeli radio station that the explosion upon impact did not cause any casualties or damage. He said that the Israeli Army believes the shells were fired during clashes between Syrian government troops and break-away army divisions in Damascus.
