Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said that Israel must be condemned for its offensive against Gaza. Appearing on TV program, Bagis said that the Israeli attack on Gaza was a manoeuvre for parliamentary elections that would be held in Israel and also an effort to create a turmoil after the US presidential election. The recent attack could pose a serious problem both for Israel and also for the region, (Anadolu) news agency quoted Bagis as saying. Turkey was closely monitoring developments and the country would do its utmost to speed up the international diplomacy, he said.
