Israeli gunboats opened heavy fire on Palestinian fishing boats off the northern shores of the Gaza Strip on Monday.

The Israeli boats fired randomly and intermittently against a number of Palestinian fishing boats in northwest of Gaza, local sources said.

No casualties have been reported.
