Israeli occupation authorities opened Wednesday morning the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing for the introduction of 300 trucks from the public and private sector, pumping limited amounts of cooking gas and industrial diesel from the Qatari fuel aid allocated for the Gaza power plant. Occupation authorities have opened the crossing and 290-300 trucks are due to enter through the crossing laden with aid, in addition to goods for the commercial, agricultural and transport sectors, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Gaza's Supplies Raed Fattouh said. He added that among the trucks were 20 new vehicles, 12 trucks loaded with cement as well as metals and construction materials, and 69 gravel trucks for relief agency work. Additionally, a truck carrying construction materials, 3 gravel trucks for the French Cultural Center project, and one carrying metal poles for the Palestinian Energy Authority. Limited quantities of cooking gas will be pumped in addition to Qatari industrial diesel, Fattouh said adding that Israeli diesel will also be pumped for the power plant.
