The Israeli authorities Tuesday ordered two Palestinian farmers to stop construction of a water cistern and reclamation of land in Beit Ummar, a village north of Hebron, according to a local activist.Mohammad Awad, from the anti-settlements Committee, said an Israeli force informed a local resident to stop building a cistern he had intended to use to collect rainwater to irrigate his land.They also ordered another resident not to continue land reclamation pending a court ruling to be issued on March 17.
