Ramallah - MENA
The Israeli government has marked some 3,740 dunams in the occupied West Bank as state lands, preparing to expand four illegal settlements, according to the Israeli daily Haaretz.
It said the so-called Israeli Civil Administration, which has complete jurisdiction in Area C of the West Bank, set a plan to expand the settlements of Kedumim, Vered Yericho, Neveh Tzuf and Emanuel.
Last month, the Israeli Housing and Construction Ministry earmarked some $215,000 for the expansion of the illegal settlement of Efrat near Bethlehem City, south of the West Bank.
