Israeli army chief of staff Gadi Eizenkot on Tuesday said that the Israeli army is starting massive activities in the Gaza Strip in search of tunnels, that are built by the Palestinian Hamas movement, according to Israeli media outlets.

At a press conference in Herzliya city in northern Israel. he added that more than 100 equipment of the Israeli army's engineering units, are working at the borders with the Gaza Strip in search of these tunnels.

He noted that up to 50-70 Palestinians, who are holding the Israeli nationality, have joined Daesh terrorist group.
