Israeli aircraft struck several targets in the Gaza Strip early Tuesday sending sonic booms across the blockaded territory but there were no reports of casualties. Palestinian sources said jets fired two rockets that struck empty land near the Khazandar fuel station in central Gaza and the Badr training site of Izzidine Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement governing the coastal enclave, east of Gaza City. A third raid targeted a site in West Gaza. The Israeli military said the aircraft bombed two rocket-launching sites and an ammunition storage facility in retaliation for missile attacks on Israeli border towns. Several Gaza factions said they fired rockets and mortar bombs last night on Israeli towns in response to air raids that left at least six Palestinians dead over the past days.
