Israeli army

The Israeli army destroyed a tunnel that led from the Gaza Strip to southern Israel, the Jerusalem Post reported on Monday.
The destruction came part of Israel's Operation Protective Edge.
The army said it found several old weapons at the site.
Israel claimed the tunnel network is used by Hamas to move and store weapons and keep fighters out of sight of Israeli aircraft.
Israel launched its Gaza offensive on July 8 and its ground forces invaded on July 17 with the declared aim of destroying infiltration tunnels and left on Aug. 5 after saying that mission had been accomplished.
