Israeli soldiers opened fire towards Palestinian farmers, east of Beit Hanoun, Palestinina sources told KUNA on Tuesday. Sources said that Israeli soldiers stationed at military checkpoints on the border between Gaza Strip and Israel, opened fire towards Palestinian farmers who were picking olives in their farmlands. There were no casualties among the farmers who have been forced to leave their farmlands in order to avoid injury, the sources added. Palestinian farmers started olive harvesting in their farmlands about a week ago, with a cultivated area of 33790 acres of olive trees. Palestinian Authority\'s Ministry of Agriculture stressed that the Israeli army target Palestinian farmers by opening fire towards them directly, in addition to destroying and burning farmlands near the security fence around Gaza Strip.
