The Jordanian military field hospital in Gaza was hit by an Israeli missile earlier at dawn Tuesday causing damage to a room used by the hospital, said the Jordanian official news agency (PETRA) Jordan’s State Minister for Media Affairs and Communications and the Government Spokesperson Samih Maaytah voiced the government’s rejection of the attack, adding that the government is following up the issue to take relevant measures. He said that the hospital aims to provide medical services to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The minister renewed Jordan’s strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression which caused heavy damage and claimed lives of dozens of Palestinians, adding the Israeli offensive will pull the region to a new cycle of violence and instability. Earlier Saturday King Abdullah instructed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mashaal Mohammad Zaben to take the necessary measures to support Jordan’s military field hospital in Gaza (Gaza 21) currently operating in the Palestinian territory.
