Israeli chief negotiator and the prime minister's envoy to the peace talks will head to the United States on Sunday night to meet on Monday with the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, the Ha'aretz daily reported. Chief negotiator Tzipi Livni and Netanyahu's envoy Yitzhak Molcho will meet with Kerry to discuss the framework paper which the U.S. wants to introduce to both Israel and the Palestinians in the near future amid the peace talks. And they will also prepare for a meeting between Netanyahu and Kerry, set to take place at the outskirts of the Davos convention later this week. According to the daily, Monday's meeting would also be attended by the United States envoy to the Middle East peace talks Martin Indyk and other White House officials in order to bridge the gap between Israel and the Palestinians on core issues. The topics to be discussed will include border issue and Israel 's stern security demands. Other matters revolve the status of Jerusalem and the Palestinian refugees who escaped their houses amid the 1948 Israeli War of Independence. According to all accounts there are very large gaps between Israel and the Palestinians on the core issues. While the Palestinians accuse Israel of continuing to build houses in the settlements, Netanyahu repeats the need for the Palestinian Authority to acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state and stop the incitement in the education system against Israel.
