On Wednesday 2nd January, Israeli Occupation Forces arrested at dawn, four Palestinian released prisoners from Beit Ummar village, north of Hebron in the West bank.
The wife of media spokesperson of the Popular Committee against the Wall and settlement in Beit Ummar, Yousef Abu Maria, told Palestinian official news agency, WAFA, that Israeli forces raided their house, searched it and rummaged with its contents, before arresting her husband. She added soldiers forced her and her children to go out of the house where they stood for several hours in the cold weather.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces raided several houses in the village and arrested the released prisoners: Ihab Omar Musleh, 17, Iyad Omar Khalil Sabarneh, 19, Mohammad Hassan Zahdi Adi, 20, and Yousef Abu Maria.
Israeli forces also raided several neighborhoods in the City of Hebron and set military checkpoints at the main entrances of Yata, Durah, Sai\'r, and Halhoul villages. They stopped Palestinians\' cars and checked their IDs.
