The Israeli occupation army claimed today the unveiling of the longest tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip reaching an area controlled by its forces north of the Karam Abo Salem crossing. The tunnel was prepared by the Palestinian organizations to carry out operations against Israeli targets and kidnap soldiers, the army said, claiming that Palestinian organizations took advantage of the calm on the border with the Gaza Strip to dig a tunnel, according to Israeli tv’s Channel Ten. The tunnel was found by the engineering unit of the Israeli army on Monday, who reached it using a large force of military explosives and specialized units for inspection after detecting the presence of explosives inside, it added. For his part, the commander of the southern region in the Israeli army told the channel that this tunnel was a new attempt by Palestinian organizations to carry out major operations.
