Israeli policeman was stabbed by a Palestinian youth in El Haram el Ibrahimi in Hebron on Sunday, Radio Israel reported.

The Palestinian was shot dead after stabbing the officer.

The wounded officer was ambulanced to a nearby hospital and his condition is said to be stable.

Meanwhile, a car ran over three Israeli policemen near a Jewish synagogue in East Jerusalem.

Two of them sustained slight injuries.

The car managed to flee the scene and was later found but with no one side.
