At a conference in Jerusalem on Monday, the Israeli member of Knesset Gilad Erdan criticized US Secretary of State John Kerry in response to remarks Kerry made about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over the weekend, The Jerusalem Post reported."Kerry is not a fair or objective mediator," he said. "American mediation is putting the pressure on the [Israeli] prime minister and on the Israeli government and not on the Palestinian side."At the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, Kerry said, "Today's status quo, absolutely to a certainty, I promise you 100 percent, cannot be maintained. It is not sustainable. It is illusionary."According to The Jerusalem Post, Erdan stated that the United States is mistaken in its understanding of the situation in the Middle East, and that despite being a close ally, disagreements still occur."From a bystander's point of view, it looks like John Kerry is actually fanning the flames of the threats, and that the US along with the EU are playing 'good cop-bad cop' with Israel," he said.
