Jeddah - MENA
A delegation of foreign ministers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held talks over the past two days with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and Israel's violations in Al Quds.
The delegation headed by Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shourky also included Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Malki, Guinea's Foreign Minister Leon Soni Fall along with the OIC chief Iyad Ameen Madani and a special envoy for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, according to a statement issued by the OIC on Thursday.
The delegation conveyed a message regarding Israeli policies which led to undermining the Mideast peace process.
They also warned that Israel's policies to Judaize al Quds and violate the sanctity of Islamic and Christian holy places would turn the region into a religious conflict.
The delegation, meanwhile, underlined the effective role that could be played by Russia in attaining stability in the Middle East.
