Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni discussed here Tuesday with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Al Ghabban bilateral relations and anti-Daesh efforts.

During their talks, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting regarding Daesh terrorists in Rome, Gentiloni reaffirmed his country's support for the Iraq's anti-terror efforts, a statement by the Italian foreign ministry read.

"Iraq is fighting Daesh terrorists who came from over 100 countries to commit heinous atrocities against children," Ghabban said on Monday upon his arrival here.

The minister also underlined his country's need for the Italian support in training police.
