The body of the Italian citizen Giulio Regeni arrived on Saturday at Fiumicino International Airport coming form Cairo and accompanied by his family.
The body, which was received in the airport by Italian Justice Minister Andrea Orlando, will be taken to the coroner's department at La Sapienza University for an autopsy ordered by Rome prosecutors as part of their murder investigation into the Cambridge doctoral student's death in Cairo.
Regeni, 28, disappeared on January 25, after leaving his home in Giza to meet a friend. His body was found on a road on Cairo's western outskirts on Wednesday.
