Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi held the international community responsible for the chaos in Libya, noting that illegal immigration via Libya coasts have recorded a notable increase over the past period.

In statements on Monday, Renzi called for changing the European rules of asylum which allow asylum seekers to the first country they enter.

He said he will discuss the issue with British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande during their visit to Italy this week.
