Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta said Thursday he hoped that Gezi Park protests against development plans in Taksim would not turn into a crisis between Turkey and the European Union (EU). \"It is really a difficult and complicated process, but I believe that Turkey will overcome this problem in a certain way. Italy is ready to do its best for Turkey,\" Letta told reporters. \"I hope Gezi Park will not turn into a crisis between Turkey and EU. It will be an irreparable mistake if it turns into a crisis.\"
