One of Italy's foreign policy's priorities is concluding a peaceful solution for the Syrian conflict coupled with supporting the Syrian opposition coalition ahead of the Syrian donors' conference in Kuwait next week, a government official said Saturday. "Solving the Syrian crisis remains a top priority on the agenda of the foreign policy of the Italian government and its diplomacy," Foreign Minister Guilio Terzi said in a statement. Terzi said he made some phone calls with head of the Syrian coalition of opposition forces of the Syrian revolution Muaath Al-Khateeb. Terzi reiterated to Al-Khateeb Italy's support for the Syrian people and coalition, for the ultimate goal of reaching a credible political solution which did not include Bashar Al-Assad. The statement said Terzi called his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu and agreed on need of rallying international support for the Syrian opposition coalition.
