Italian Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti

Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti has said that there won't be any military interference in Libya, rather moves to stop human smuggling.

Pinotti, in press statements published in Libya Saturday, stressed an urgent need to move to stop smugglers from making money out of human suffering.

She said her country is willing to act as part of an EU or a UN mission and in line with a mandate that clearly defines any possible action by the Security Council.
