The Italian Foreign Ministry said that it stands by Egypt and its people against the terrorist acts which took place in the North African country and led to the killing of dozens of victims.

Egypt is the cornerstone of stability in the region and the terrorist threats will not succeed in sapping the determination of the Egyptian government and people, according to a statement by the Italian Foreign Ministry, distributed by its embassy in Cairo.
