The Embassy of Japan in Egypt on Saturday held a celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Tokyo and Cairo.

The celebration, held at Tokyo Garden in Cairo's district of Helwan, was attended by Cairo Governor Galal Saeed and Ambassador of Japan to Egypt Takehiro Kagawa as well as a number of public figures.

A number of Japanese traditions including the tea ceremony, flower arrangement and Japanese calligraphy were seen during the celebration.

In a speech at the celebration, Kagawa expressed happiness to show an important aspect of Japanese traditional culture during the celebration.
