Tough action on North Korea

Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and senior US and South Korean officials agreed Friday to seek a tough UN Security Council resolution against North Korea following its fourth nuclear test, Kyodo reported.

In the talks in Tokyo, the three sides confirmed they will continue working closely together to take resolute action against Pyongyang, the foreign ministry said.

North Korea earlier this month said it had successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb for the first time.
