Hundreds of Israeli settlers performed early Tuesday prayers and religious rituals in Joseph's Tomb under Israeli army protection near Balata refugee camp east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus. According to local sources, several buses carrying hundreds of Jewish settlers escorted by Israeli military vehicles entered the city at dawn today and performed prayers in the tomb until the early morning hours. Clashes broke out with local youths, who burned tires and threw rocks and empty bottles at Israeli soldiers, the sources said, adding that no injuries were reported.
