King Abdullah II of Jordan said Wednesday the Arab kingdom supports efforts by the United States to resume Palestinian-Israeli peace talks, state-run Petra news agency reported. Jordan will continue to support U.S. efforts to make progress in peace talks, the king said at a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. The Jordanian leader said the sole way to preserve peace and stability in the region is through creating an independent Palestinian state in accordance to the 1967 borders. Abdullah II warned that Israel\'s repeated violations against Al Aqsa Mosque and its unilateral measures in Jerusalem undermine peacemaking efforts. The Jordanian leader also urged the international community to continue its support to Jordan, which hosts more than half a million Syrian refugees.
