Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Thursday took part in meeting of the \"Friends of Syria\" in Rome. In remarks during the meeting, Judeh outlined Jordan\'s efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to end the crisis in the neighboring country, stressing Jordan\'s position which calls for stopping the bloodshed and starting a peaceful power transition plan that maintains Syria\'s territorial and people unity and includes all components of the society. Judeh called on the international community to further support Jordan to continue offering to the refugees. Representatives from 11 countries took part in the gathering. On the other hand, Judeh held talks in Beirut on Thursday with Lebanese Prime Minster Najib Mikati on means to enhance bilateral ties in various fields. Judeh conveyed regards of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour to Mikati and the Lebanese people. Judeh and Mikati also discussed consequences of the Syrian crisis on Jordan and Lebanon, stressing the need to continue coordination to urge the international community shoulder its responsibilities in this regard.
