Minister of Justice Bassam al-Talhouni

Justice Minister Bassam Talhouni discussed with the British Minister of State for Justice and Civil Liberties, Simon Hughes, mutual cooperation and ways to benefit from British expertise in judicial affairs.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Global Law Summit in London last week, the British Minister said his country was willing to provide Jordan with technical know-how and assistance in judicial fields. Jordan's Ambassador to Britain, Mazen Al Hmoud, was also in attendance at the meeting.
The British capital this month hosted approximately 2,200 Ministers of Justice and legal personalities from around the world to discuss legal matters such as the rule of law, the enforcement of justice, ways to resolve commercial disputes, interpretation of contracts and ways to counter corruption.
Ministers, who participated in the summit, met with Queen Elizabeth II at a reception held at the Buckingham Palace in London.
