Clashes erupted between Jordanian policemen and demonstrators in the Zaatari Syrian refugee camp during a protest against the poor living conditions and a ban on leaving the camp.Violence broke out on Friday night as 100 refugees held a protest against living conditions in the Syrian refugee camp of Zaatari in Northern Jordan, home to more than 160,000 Syrians who have fled the bloodshed in their country, and a ban on leaving the desert camp near the border with Syria, AFP reported.A security official, declining to be named, said on Saturday ten policemen were injured in a clash with demonstrators in Zaatari.Jordan says it is hosting more than 500,000 Syrian refugees and the United Nations High Commissioner expects the number to soar to 1.2 million by the end of this year.Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against the Syrian police, border guards, statesmen, army and the civilians being reported across the country.Thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes.The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
