Syrian refugees

The Jordanian community in Austria has launched an urgent humanitarian initiative to help the Syrian refugees and migrants in an overcrowded refugee camp near Vienna.

Launched on Friday, the Arab communities in Vienna received SMS on mobile phones sent by the Jordanian expats to get them updated with the miserable conditions of the Syrian refugees, and urged them to give in-kind contributions, such as clothes, blankets, and toys for kids for them.

The initiative highlighted the deteriorating humanitarian conditions the Syrian migrants were suffering from in a stacked camp near Vienna, as they lack to enough accommodations, heath and social care due to the government's inability to handle the amounting crisis of migrants.

The initiative's organizers circulated phone numbers for volunteers, who said they were ready to reach donors at home.

The Austrian government faces a problem in relocating the migrants to other states and cities, as officials in these cities refuse to receive refugees in order to keep their popularity among some Austrian people who were reluctant to the issue of refugees.
