National Struggle Front Head, MP Walid Joumblatt, hoped that all sides in the country will work together for the sake of preventing strife, preserving national unity and dialogue. "The coming days seem to carry some difficulty," he added. Speaking before a crowd of prominent political officials and religious clerics during the 36th commemoration of his late father, Druze Leader Kamal Joumblatt, he paid tribute to all martyrs who fell for the sake of the nation. "I bow before the memory of Kamal Joumblatt; I bow before the memory of Rafic Hariri; I bow before the memory of all fallen innocent martyrs who lost their lives on that day of darkness in the Shouf," said Joumblatt. He added that on this day, the commemoration coincides with the memory of Daraa's young children's march towards freedom and dignity for the Syrian people. "We bow before the sacrifices of the Syrian people, all Syrians, the detained and martyrs; and we also bow before the children of Daraa," added Joumblatt. It is to note that thousands participated Saturday in the march that set out from Al-Mokhtara Palace towards the late Kamal Joumblatt's tomb marking his commemoration day.
