Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Tuesday met with Nicolas de Riviere, assistant secretary for U.N. affairs at the French foreign ministry. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation ties between the two countries, particularly in the light of Jordan’s non-permanent membership of the U.N. Security Council. The two officials stressed the significance of continuous coordination and consultation about the different issues of mutual concern in the region as well as the Syrian crisis and the Geneva II conference. In a separate development, Judeh met with Norwegian MP Anniken Huitfeldt and discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments. Judeh expressed his appreciation for Norway’s support for Amman on all fronts. They also reviewed the Syrian crisis and the path of the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
