Kabul welcomed Germany\'s plan to keep a military presence in Afghanistan after the NATO-led international forces pull out in 2014, DPA reported on Friday. Germany announced Thursday it would be keeping 600 to 800 soldiers in the country after their combat troops leave, to train and advise Afghan security forces. \"We welcome Germany\'s plan to keep forces in Afghanistan in the framework of NATO commitments,\" Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqui said. \"We still need their assistance,\" he told reporters here.
